FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) We start with a brief phone conversation to make sure that we are a fit for each other. 2) We will then schedule another meeting, if appropriate, either in person or on the phone with join.me so you can see my computer screen. At this meeting we will talk about any details and get to know each other better. We will also go over any specific plans to ensure I am at the right place at the right time and find out what is important to you. I would also want to find out more about your personality and your relationships that will help me to tailor the photography session to your needs. 3) I will have you create a mood board that we will go over, a VIP list, a Formal shot list, and a timeline of events. We will go over these items in more detail when we talk.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been taking professional photographs for last ten years. I am a member of the Professional Photographers Association and have ongoing training to keep up with the latest lighting, posing and technology. I am always learning and honing my craft to ensure you receive the absolute best results.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started taking pictures as a child when we still had film cameras. Making sure the film was loaded properly and not exposed to light. This led me to my teens when I obtained a better camera that I could remove the lens. My first SLR camera was a Canon FTb. It was far from automatic. No auto focus. No auto anything. I progressed to Canon AE-1 and then my first digital Canon EOS Rebel with many different Canon EOS cameras in between I currently use the newest Canon 5D Mark IV DSRL. I consider myself a perfectionist and I enjoy capturing moments in time. Being able to go back in time and see a snapshot of our life at that moment is amazing. Seeing and reliving those moments is a treasure that has no monetary value.
