FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was a little girl age 10, I got my grandmothers hand me down: brownie camera. That was the start of my fascination with photography. I saved every penny and did odd jobs to buy film and have them developed. This is when I knew I wanted to be a photographer. The painting came later in 1982, after much frustration about acceptable paintings for my living room. I had always dabbled in painting but now this was serious, I could find nothing that I could afford to buy. So I went out to paint my own. Much to my surprise they came out very well! I am a self taught artist, now with experience of 32 years. My most exciting is my abstract work, on my website you will see "The Hancock" Chicago 5ftx7ft and the redline loop 4x6ft. This is a special design I created just for this series. In the painting line of work you have to prove yourself first by painting real life objects, which I did as you can see in the Skier in the above.
