FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Honestly I kind of stumbled upon it, I worked with a teacher of mine after high school and he took me to a couple of his weddings I learned to mix from him and as time passed It became a transition from a hobby to a job.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you don't decide to go with us then look for a DJ that has the experience to handle the wedding or event that your throwing. One of the most important things to ask is how often are they DJ'ing because believe it or not DJ's get rusty if they haven't played over an extended period of time.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish my customers knew what can go into providing a service like this. There are alot of expenses, If your subscribed to a music service that can easily take 30 dollars a month, a decent mixer is around $500, speakers can be around $2000, and lights can go up to and beyond $1000, then there are miscellaneous equipment such as stands chords and cables which can add about $200. All in all DJ's can bring to a gig about $3000 worth of equipment, and every time they accept a gig they run the risk of that equipment breaking down and being replaced. Often times this is why we will charge a pretty penny for their DJ'ing services.
