JJ Science Core is proudly led by Talita Alencar, a multiple-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion, UFC athlete, and current UFC Strawweight contender.
With over 15 years of coaching experience, Talita has trained both children and adults of all skill levels. She is passionate about helping people build confidence, improve their fitness, and develop practical self-defense skills in a safe and supportive environment.

I highly recommend Coach Talita Alencar! She has been providing self-defense classes for my 10-year-old daughter and her friend, and our experience with her has been excellent from the very beginning.
Before we even booked the classes, Talita’s communication was outstanding. She was responsive, patient, and took the time to answer every question we had, which made us feel very comfortable moving forward.
What I appreciate most is her teaching style. She is tough and pushes the girls to challenge themselves, but at the same time, she is caring, encouraging, and clearly invested in their progress. She has taken the time to understand each girl individually, recognizing their different strengths and weaknesses and adjusting her instruction to help them improve and overcome the areas where they struggle.
It’s been great watching their confidence and skills develop under her instruction. You can tell Talita genuinely cares about teaching them not only how to defend themselves, but also how to become more confident in their abilities.
We couldn’t be happier with the experience and would absolutely recommend Coach Talita to any parent looking for a knowledgeable, dedicated, and caring self-defense instructor for their child.

I started taking my kids to JJ Science Core for Jiu-Jitsu and self defense a few months ago, and the results have been incredible. Not only have I seen improvements in their fitness, but I’ve also noticed a positive change in their discipline, confidence, and overall attitude.

Talita has been coaching our three kids (ages 4, 6, and 8) in jiu jitsu and fitness, and what makes her stand out is how much attention she pays to each kid, not just the physical skills.
Each of our kids has had a moment where they were nervous or hesitant about something new, and Talita noticed exactly what was going on and helped them work through it in a way that actually stuck. She has a great way of turning a hard moment into a real lesson, reminding the kids that their mindset shapes what their body can do.

Josh did a great job assembling an 8x6 metal shed for me. I was coordinating everything from out of town, and he made the whole process easy. Communication was great from the beginning, he showed up right on time, kept me updated throughout the job, and sent pictures when everything was finished. The shed took longer than expected to put together, but he still honored the price we agreed on and made sure the job was completed properly. Everything came out great. I would definitely recommend him and would use him again.
