I hired Woody to paint my house. He showed up when he said he would, did a good job and even replaced the old supports on the carport for me. His quoted price was accurate and it worked out well.
The inside was another story. We discussed replacing my kitchen countertops, installing pot lights, slide outs in the cupboards, adding molding and painting the entire kitchen. After much discussion and price shopping we(I) decided he would install tile on the counters. He assured me he could do this without a problem. Pot lights and slide outs are great. Countertop is a nightmare. My home is older and nothing is level or square. This I understood. If things come out off center or are not quite level not a problem. What I do have a problem with is sloppy work...grout left all over the tile, the plywood base and tile cut so close the fridge rubs on the wall when opened. The cupboards sloppily painted - actually feel like they were painted with the wall paint instead of the semi gloss I purchased. Some doors put back up before they were dry and then sticking and pulling the paint off, knobs not removed but painted around and so paint on them. Holes filled in but not sanded, rough spots and drips. Some cupboard doors not even painted at all. He was also to put up molding. One of the pieces was a different thickness but looked the same. He had started to cut them when he discovered this and I needed to get another piece. I paid him what he asked (I didn't keep track of his hours but he always showed up) but he never returned my calls or came back. My lanai floor will have to be repainted because apparently that is where he mixed everything and there was grout everywhere even tho he hosed it off each day. Just a nightmare mess to clean up. I will have to either have the counters replaced or live with it , sand and paint all the cupboards myself, and repaint the lanai floor. I know we were both getting tired of the frustration and mess etc because anyone who has ever done anything in an older house knows nothing goes according to plan or budget. But if he couldn't or did not want to do the job he should have said so. Now I am left with a disappointing kitchen that cost twice as much and I get to fix.

Dan was a true professional. He was on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and did an amazing job. His fee was extremely reasonable compared to other estimates. Dan painted almost all of the interior of my new home even though I contracted him to do much less. His work was so good that I kept asking him to do more - which he did with a smile. Friendly, reasonable, professional, reliable and excellent. I highly recommend Dan to anyone looking for an excellent painter...interior or exterior.

Woodie arrived, went to work immediately painting entire interior of house to perfection. Worked from early morning until 5-6 everyday without breaks. Three neighbors and one friend have taken his number for work in their house.
