Introduction: MK Entertainment is owned and operated by Michael and Kari Mendez. We are a husband-and-wife team who love the power of music and the energy that it creates. We have attended countless weddings and events where we felt the DJ was subpar; they didn't read the crowd, played all the wrong songs and left the dance floor empty most of the night. Considering all of the time, money and effort that goes into planning a wedding/event, having a DJ who doesn't live up to your expectations by playing whatever music they want, regardless of how little the crowd responds, is unacceptable. As the alternative to the typical cheesy, embarrassing wedding/event DJ, our goal is to provide our clients with excellent customer service along with modern, stylish entertainment for their big day. We love music, and we love to work with people who want everyone at their wedding or event to have a great time. Every event is unique which is why each event we are a part of is customized to your taste. We work with you to coordinate your event from start to finish and personalize your music selection in order to turn your vision into a reality. Our goal is to create a positive relationship with you that allows us to work together as a team in an effort to make your event the most memorable one of your life. Kari and Michael are an amazing team and made us feel comfortable from the time we first met with them. They took the time to meet with us twice and were always in touch with us during the months leading up to our wedding. They're extremely organized, knowledgeable and professional. The night of the wedding everyone was dancing non-stop because the music they chose to play was so amazing. We provided a short list of our 'must play' songs and they took it from there and played other songs that were exactly our taste and just so awesome. The crowd was going wild on the dance floor and so even our guests commented on how much fun they had dancing and that the DJ was doing an outstanding job. I could go on and on but to summarize: I can't say enough great things about this team and I would recommend anyone to work with them on their wedding or any other event!!

We used MK Entertainment for our daughters Sweet 16 party. Mike and Kari were very professional, responsive and easy to work with. They kept the dance floor full and the energy of the party high at all times. We were very pleased with their services overall and would definitely book them again. We highly recommend them!

This DJ team is wonderful! They made the entire wedding planning process easier. They are thorough and kept in constant communication with us. They played the songs we wanted too. I would recommend them to anyone! They even instructed for those who didn't know how to do the dance, we thought that was a nice touch. They actually cared that it was our wedding day and really put a lot of effort into making it perfect. If you don't choose them, you're missing out!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It's important for potential clients to realize that your wedding DJ does so much more than just hit the play button. The reality is, your wedding DJ is the visible spokesperson for your wedding from the beginning to the end; the person guests assume responsible for crafting the comprehensive entertainment experience for them from the moment they arrive, to your last dance.Your DJ will be your voice to your guests, your MC, and is responsible for the entire timeline/flow of the event, including all of the special announcements. The DJ keeps the event flowing in a timely and organized manner, no matter what problems or issues may arise. There is so much preparation that goes into an event that a lot of people don't realize. For example, a good DJ will meet with their clients in person initially to get to know them and their tastes in music. They will also send a questionnaire that outlines the entire event from start to finish and will offer many suggestions as to what typically works best not only timeline-wise, but music-wise as well. They fully organize, create, build and maintain a weddings full sequence of events, all while keeping the guests engaged and entertained.
