Kristy was very helpful and professional. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an immigration attorney.Oct 17, 2017Verified
Best attorney I've ever had and nicest/wisest person I've ever met. I had several legal matters between immigration and bankruptcy and divorce. Other attorneys suggested that I proceed with all of them all at once. Kristy could have done the same, she could have suggested that we proceeded with everything all at once and she could have charge me close to $7K all at once, but instead she recommended that we handle the most important things first and take one step at the time and leave what wasn't urgent for later. She was doing this so that I wouldn't be overwhelmed all at once and to save me money. She genuinely cares about her clients and what is best for them. For that she will have my gratitude forever.Apr 10, 2018Verified
I'm a medical doctor. I hired Kristy to petition for green card through an EB-1 visa as an individual with extraordinary abilities. But I also had a back up plan as a transferree of multinational company in a managerial position. I had hired other attorneys before and they were taking forever. They asked me for the information piece by piece instead of all at once and after 2 years they said that it would take longer and they would have to charge me more. I got fed up and hired Kristy instead. She was great and quick. She told me the risks and difficulties from the get go, she was very honest and up front. At the end she got my visa in under 6 months with a premium processing and on top of that she charged me a fair price. I'm very grateful and because of that my company will only use Kristy for any immigration matters. I'm a happy client.Feb 2, 2016
Attorney Qui is very quick with communication response and her turnover rate was quick as well and her prices are fair. I'm very happy with her service and I like her honesty and professional integrity, those things should be common sense but they're hard to come by these days. I had consulted with other attorneys before getting on Thumback therefore I knew the kind of price everyone else was charging. At first her price seemed high comparing to other attorneys that also answered my request through Thumback but after speaking with them one by one I realised that it wasn't the case. The other guys only gave me their consultation prices or a low ball price that wasn't for my type of case just to get me in their door to talk to them so that they could charge me a consultation fee or maybe like them enough to stick with the higher price tag. Attorney Qui's price was reasonable and accurate, the price she quoted on Thumback was exactly the amount of legal fee she charged and turned out to be lower than other attorneys's price.Feb 15, 2017Verified
Personal Bankruptcy Attorney
I had an awesome experience with Kristy. She is a consummate professional. And she cares greatly for her clients. When everyone else told me I didn't qualify for Chapter 7 bankruptcy she did her homework ran her own means test and got my chapter 7. I strongly recommend Kristy as an attorney specializing in bankruptcy. She's a great person and has a great heart.Sep 9, 2017Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We provide an absolute flat fee for almost every type of service that we provide. The only exceptions would probably be asylum petitions and Chapter 11 reorganizations since they are both labor intensive and one can never predict the amount of work involved. Unlike other attorneys we do not have ad-on fees and we do not charge by the hour. The quote that we give to inquiries is truthful and accurate, we do not give a low-ball price just to lure people in and then hit them with a surprise, which is why we're hired more often than our competitors despite the "higher" price quotes we provide on Thumbtack.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We provide in person and over the phone consultations, both of which are free of charge. We usually give a call to our potential clients first to see whether they are seeking legal service that we can provide, and if so what type. We then give them a quote for the service sought. We charge an absolute flat fee for almost every type of service we provide, unlike most attorneys who charge either by the hour or have add-on fees. We then schedule a meeting with our potential clients in person when they're ready to come in.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Kristy Qiu, the main attorney, has a Master of Law degree, a Juris Doctor degree, and an Engineering degree.
