I try to push the creative limits with bold colors and innovative lighting and poses. When it comes to my style of shooting I adore a naturally lit but artistic approach to photography, I aim for all my images to be magazine ready. My love for art is my foundation as my dad will tell anyone that will listen..“she had a pencil in one hand and a drawing pad in the other from as early as 2”. For me, photography is another art form that allows me to capture moments in time that truly last a lifetime. I look for the most artistic angel and candid moments, based on my love of clean lines found in architecture, graphically centered and my art background.

One word... AMAZING! I have to admit I was a little skeptical on using Thumbtack for my wedding vendors at first. After all, it is one of the biggest days of your life and these are people I have never heard of, most only have a few pictures and a few reviews but I am so thankful that Thumbtack brought me Yohan Alcide. She responded to my initial request for qualified photographers quickly and set up a meeting with my fiancee at the time and I within that week. I was very impressed with her creativity and artistic approach to her photography. After our meeting we set up our engagement shoot at the local Wynwood Walls location. Yohan really goes above and beyond to capture the images that you will want to treasure forever. At our engagement shoot Yohan had no fear of getting dirty, or even getting herself in danger (laying across a main road) just to capture that unique image that other photographers wouldn't dare. My wedding was at Melani Gardens in Homestead on March 14th 2015. On this day she was there with her assistant to capture all of the moments from my husband and I getting ready, right till the end when everyone was staggering out the door. I absolutely loved Yohan's no B.S attitude. She is very courteous but at the same time will not be rushed by anyone until she has the shots she knows you will love. Prior to my ceremony I felt the pressure and felt like I was going to break down due to all the chaos around me, Yohan calmed the whole situation and reassured me that everything was going to be ok, this was my day and no one was going to ruin it. She really cares. Shes not just there to take your pictures, she genuinely cares for her clients and it just makes the whole experience that more special. I wish I could have uploaded some pictures so you could all see her work because the photos turned out absolutely amazing. What I loved about them the most was how natural everyone looked. Obviously there were some group pictures with everyone posing but the majority of them were so natural that most people were oblivious to her even taking them. Yohan you truly do have clients for life with Vincent and I, you are nothing short of an amazing photographer and such a genuine caring person with that spunky attitude we just love. Thank you sooooo much for making our day so magical and capturing the most magical moments that we will treasure forever. You were the greatest decision we made when it came to our wedding day. Yohan did an awesome job as our wedding photographer. She was on time and came up with great posses for our wedding party. She even sent us a sneak peek of some of the unedited pictures for us to have something to see before we left for our honeymoon.The unedited pictures looked amazing so I can only imagine what the finished product will look like! All I can say is that the pictures were nothing short of gorgeous! She captured the most beautiful pictures of our family and I could not be more pleased! FAQs

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell in love with photography as an Art form age 7, and asked my father for my first camera. But what hooked me was when I was at college, when I first encountered a âdark roomâ. Just waiting and watching while my image starts to slowly appear on the photo paper. I do miss working with 35mm film and darkrooms, but DSLR cameras are just as wonderful to me.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I am primarily a wedding photography but have been asked to do so many different and sometimes unique sessions that it has allowed me to be creative.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Mass wedding with 19 couples in less than 5 hours. I'm so very proud of my work ethics and the ability to make each bride feel special and treat them as if it was just their own special day.
