- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an active member of Industrial Designers Society of America. I also attend regular SolidWorks (3d modeling software) meetings and stay up to date on the latest advancements.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a sculptor at first, always creating art that was functional. Also, looking at poorly designed and non functional consumer products on the market and the need to rid the world of this.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What vast knowledge that is needed for this profession. We need to have a solid understanding for manufacturing and processes, marketing and research, materials, 3d modeling software, sales and marketing, usability, mechanical engineering, and graphic design.
