Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My passion for photography and videography started back in 2005 when I got my hands on my first film SLR camera. I learned the ins and outs of how cameras work, lighting, composition, color theory, contrast, and more. I also gained a unique perspective from learning how to edit in a darkroom before ever learning Photoshop or any other editing software. It is on this foundation of technical knowledge that I've built my photography instincts, style, and now brand! After building a strong technical foundation with 4 years of film photography, I made the switch to the digital medium, and have been photographing digitally ever since! Much of my work to date has focused on automotive and lifestyle photography, and I am now seeking to expand my portfolio into the engagement, elopement, and wedding market. jasminesomers.com

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "I'm over the moon with the photos!" Fantastic experience! Jasmine is not only a talented photographer, she also has incredible energy. We did a galentines day shoot with a few good friends. I'm over the moon with the photos! She perfectly captured our group's happy and joking atmosphere. If I find myself in Miami again I'd gladly hire her again.

Jasmine was honestly so great. We needed a photographer at the last minute because we underestimated our wedding schedule and what we wanted to get captured. So we reached out to Jasmine on Thumbtack. And she was super responsive and accommodating for such a short notice contract. We got our pictures back in a timely matter. And we love them. she really captured everything that we were hoping for, for our wedding. And we have booked her again for another photo shoot session.

Jasmine was a pleasure to work with. I don't have enough positive things to say about the experience, and I would recommend her to anyone. It is clear that Jasmine is an expert at her craft. She takes incredible photos, and she works at the speed of light. Not to mention, she is incredibly lighthearted, funny, and fun to work with.

On a whim I had driven from New York to Fort Lauderdale hoping for an escape. I had lost 42 lbs, gone through a massive life transition, and I was honestly hoping to look good in a few photos to document my journey. I had contacted a few pros, but was given the run around. Jasmine contacted me and met both my budgetary and photographic requirements (you can see her talent in her portfolio and reviews) with zero hustle or haggle. To say that Jasmine was professional, visionary, and accommodating would be a disservice to the quality of performance that she provided. She gave me a very special experience in which she provided guidance, but also was receptive to ideas that I had. I’m so glad that she was able to drive from an hour away to accommodate my budget and needs and provide me with such a special experience. She was able to capture exactly what I was looking for, sent me the products in a timely manner, and with a quality that surpassed my expectations. She’s patient, yet provocative and commanding, yet also accommodating. Thank you, Jasmine, as this experience and meeting you was unforgettable. HIRE HER NOW!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing - whether on a freelancing site or on my website - is not set in stone. I understand that everyone has unique needs in their own unique situations, and I am always open to discussing your personal priorities and budget, and I am happy to create a package and price that is custom made just for you.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When working with a new client, I like to get to know their wants, needs, and the way they prioritize those things. Once I have an idea of their wants, needs, and expectations, I can provide them with not only a quote, but a full overview of what to expect from our working relationship. I like to make sure they are fully aware of what the photoshoot is going to be like so that they feel comfortable, confident, and well-prepared. I then remain open by email, text, and phone calls until the day of the shoot, as I understand that more questions or concerns can pop up sometimes. Then, on the day of the shoot, the client and I have already built a great relationship and we can just have a fun, relaxing time at the shoot!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I studied Fine Art at York University in Toronto, Canada where I focused primarily on both film and digital photography and videography. I have continued to train at workshops run by world-renowned photographers and videographers since then, including Jessica Kobeissi and Taylor Jackson. I continue to expand on my expertise every day, most recently by studying and upgrading to mirrorless camera technology.
