Sabrina's French lessons

Did you know that French is the first or second language in more than 40 countries and is spoken by over 125 million people around the world, on every continent? What is so special about this "most romantic language" that makes it so popular? Well, aside from the obvious advantage that multilingualism provides on an economic scale and in the workforce, an added language facilitates communication not only around the world but also with the growing French population present in South Florida. Born in Montreal, Canada, not only is French my native tongue, but I have also over 10 years of experience teaching the language. Individual needs are my focus; whether the purpose of learning is for travel, study, work, or pleasure, I personalize my teaching method to accommodate each student. I have taught international students from all ages privately and in group sessions, which has allowed me to grow familiar with the various challenges people often face when learning a new language. Most importantly, I use a communicative approach to encourage students to speak as much as possible, even while working on grammar, reading, writing, and listening skills. My experience ranges from private tutoring to teaching in a school setting and business environment. I have managed and taught at a language school in Montreal at the Academie Linguistique Internationale where I hired and supervised French teachers and contributed to the development of the French curriculum.
