Jesse was prompt, professional and was able to create and put in motion amazing concepts for my company. I would highly recommend him. 5 avenues design firm will be my first call for future needs. I could not be happier with their service and work.May 12, 2016Verified
Wanted custom drawings of a memory, photo or story for each member of my wedding party. Jesse was attentive, a great listener but also a great interpreter of the stories. He offered wonderful suggestions about the drawing style and approach to stay within our budget and also bring the feel and look of the story to life. Super versatile work, fast and awesome!Apr 7, 2016Verified
He was kind in the beginning we agreed on one thing an then I changed my mind an then he shut me down. So I guess his business communication skills need to be sharpened very disappointed but that's just the way the cookie crumblesMar 10, 2016VerifiedJstark Design's reply
Hey Michael. I'm sorry if you are disappointed. We originally agreed on my doing a free sketch of a wolf character for your logo based on the fact that I really enjoyed that concept. I don't normally draw for free (most designers don't) but we spoke about it and I let you know the wolf idea sounded awesome to draw. The following day you changed your mind on the design, which was no problem at all. Though yes, your wish to change the design changed the offer from a free sketch and agreement on a custom illustrated logo to an digitally created logo. My only changes to the offer was that I could not draft that sketch for free which we discussed by phone. You called me two days later asking if I was done with the logo which I replied tha I couldnt begin work without a deposit. Our phones scrambled and I returned the call three times to voicemail which was full. I then called you again the following morning (after you texted me late afternoon), again to be taken to your voicemail which was full. This is just a case of mishap, though if the cookie crumbles in the way where it I could receive a poor review without even taking any money from you, nor even starting your work then I guess yes then thats the way it is sadly. I'd be glad to help you with your logo, just ask that you please call me so we can come to a solid agreement. I would never shut anyone down my friend, I wish you well and good luck with your project.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Nothing complicated at all. Free consultation - and flat rate service. Our policies are listed on the website 5avedesign.com
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?ALWAYS...programs, process, trends, and patterns always change - as does the world. We would be stagnant to not accept this and move with it.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? Please have some knowledge of what you want, and stick with your service provider. Customers in the design world wish to see what they are going to get before paying for it. This is understandable. Unfortunately no one in this modern time should be working for free. So your job as the client is to fish through the multiple portfolios/resumes of designers until you find someone you are comfortable with. It is not fair to have designers work free in competition for a job...I'm sure you understand.
