- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors of science and dietetics multiple personal training certifications and continuing education credits
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I went to college in 1982, not really knowing what I wanted to study. I played many sports in high school and was very interested in nutrition and it's relation to athletic performance. My freshman year of college I took a course called Introduction to Nutrition. From there I took every course I could relating to the science of nutritional biochemistry. My third year I was accepted into the Dietetics department. I took a full year of Anatomy and Physiology.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My clients all have different needs. I tailor each workout to the individual. Some like to workout at home, some like outdoors, some like to mix it up. Most want to lose weight, some want to gain. I keep my workouts varied so as to not have clients bored do the same exercises over and over. I incorporate many disciplines into my workouts, such as Yoga, Pilates, Boxing, Tabata and swimming.
