I had some outlets and a fixture that became erratic, meaning they started working on and off intermittently, and then a few that completely stopped after Ian. I've used some big brand/big name Electricians before and just have not been happy with them so I decided to try Thumbtack. I found Empire and pulled the trigger based on the profile and the reviews. I am fully satisfied. Absolutely awesome service. First of all, J responded very quickly which was great. He showed up when he said he would and texted me before he got here. Initially, the plan was for a free estimate, but he did say he would try to fix things if they were easy and they were. He got the fixes in right away and didn't need to go buy anything, he had everything with him. He is knowledgeable and didn't break the bank with what he did. He also didn't seem to try to oversell me anything, which is such a relief. We will 100% be using him again. My wife is so happy with his service that she has him pegged for some lighting projects she wants to do sometime next year and she is really, really hard to impress. To be clear, he is professional and as mentioned, was punctual. If I could give him "professionalism" and "punctuality" as well, I would, but I feel that the others are more important traits, so I chose those.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was over 23 years ago I lived in Miami and my uncle lived up here in lee county. I had just newly become a father and was working for an import/export company doing shipping and receiving. My uncle said it was time to move up with him and make some changes in my life. Apparently companies were needing bilingual employees and that was my way in without any experience. I fell in love with the trade and have been servicing SWFL since then.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
At this particular moment we are entering the final stages of Lee Health Golisano of Naples on pine ridge rd. It’s been a wonderful year throughout all 3 stages and the relationships built are what’s priceless.
