This was our first experience working with Missy as our previous travel agent had left the company. We were looking to book a cruise of the British Isles for my wife's 60th Birthday. Missy got us a good rate with a good on board credit (OBC) in addition to what the cruise line was offering. We booked early and after checking internet prices she was able to adjust our rate accordingly. By the time we were ready to board we had $300 OBC from the cruise line, pre-paid gratuities and a drink package. We also wanted to get off the ship a day early and she was able to provide us with the form to complete to allow us to do this. Since it was a special occasion we wanted a table for just the two of us at early dinning. She was able to arrange this and we had a wonderful time. Since this booking my son has booked a cruise through Missy and my wife has also booked another cruise for October. I know that my son felt the line of communication was lacking when he booked but everything came into place. My wife had some issues communicating when she booked the October cruise but again Missy worked everything out. I believe they were in the process of changing phone systems at the time. When I worked with Missy for the British Isles cruise everything went well.

Many consumers believe going straight to the supplier and cutting out the travel agent will get them a better deal. Not only is that not true, but service and expertise is lost as well. We do volume with our suppliers, negotiate special deals not available to consumers, and hold thousands of rooms/cabins in group space.
