- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
It is necessary for me to always be educating myself to any new regulations regarding tax rulings and rulings set by FASB. Additionally, it is necessary for me to maintain my certification in QuickBooks on an annual basis, and my certification as a Certified Bookkeeper must be maintained by taking the necessary credits.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was wanting to gain more information regarding the QuickBooks program, and felt that becoming a Pro-Advisor would offer a program to gain this knowledge. I was correct in this assumption. I became a Pro-Advisor when the program began. I was one of the first in my area to gain the status of Advance Pro-Advisor.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Set-up and maintenance of my clients books, through the Adjusted Trail Balance to prepare the federal tax return. This includes reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts, account analysis of the profit and loss accounts, adjusting journal entries for depreciation and any corrections, and if necessary, journal entry to covert to cash basis.
