I used Victor Garcia for Quickbooks data entry in July of 2012 and paid him to enter data for 7 months in a lump sum. I hap planned on continuing to use him to keep up with my books, and asked that he put a copy of what he entered on my computer and a flash drive. HE seemed to do the job and provided me with a profit loss statement and said he downloaded it on my Mac, after spending some time with my Intuit support account to overcome difficulties. HE said the whole file was also on the flash drive I provided him. After I paid him, he told me he would be out of town for the next month, but I could mail him my info. I was not comfortable mailing all of my originals and would have never hired him with this arrangement. I chose to get another bookkeeper/accountant. When I try to retrieve it it is not on my Mac computer, or when my accountant tries to save and open the file on the flash drive, it is not possible.
I have tried to reach MR Garcia on his phone and 2 e-mails to get the information so that I didn't waste $700.00+ I paid him. However, he has not returned my calls or e-mail, and it is beginning to look like I am going to have to start from scratch with another book keeper/accountant.
