- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been fascinated with animals as far as I can remember! My father had a farm and I just loved spending hours out with the donkeys, horses, cows, ducks, chickens, goats, parrots and of course the dogs and kitties. There is something special about being in the presence of animals. They give me peace, and teach me patience and unconditional love. I love and respect all living creatures, therefore I am blessed to work with them every day :)
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Our main requests are dog walks and pet sits. Many vacation visits and overnight stays. I really appreciate people who request the overnight stays, they understand the importance of leaving your pets in their familiar surroundings where they will be more comfortable without you. It is hard enough for them when you leave, so giving them the gift of staying in their own home while you are away is a blessing! Kudos Pet Parents!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The best advice I can give anyone is to do your due diligence. There are people out there who will charge a nominal fee but will not care for your pets in a professional manner. Be wary of things being too good to be true- because usually they are!
