- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a licensed apprentice electrician in Texas working hands on with a Master Electrician for 3 1/2 years, I have a certificate in “Electrical Systems II” which focused on residential and commercial mechanical troubleshooting and construction, I’m currently in an electrical program in progress to obtain my NCCER electrical license which will qualify me nationally to take any journeyman exam anywhere in the USA.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I moved to Texas in 2019 and spent 3 1/2 years working directly under a Master Electrician. He taught me 90% of what I know now and took me from not knowing what a wire nut was to replacing electrical panels! It was a great mentorship that propelled me into this field.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask questions, especially for referrals before jumping into hiring a tradesman in any field. What you’re looking for is someone who is confident in their ability to solve your issue because of past successes, and a history of satisfied customers.
