- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer lessons at $80 for 1 hour. If you are interested in 30 min, 45 min, or over an hour, we can discuss a rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to find out from the start what a student's goals are, and if they already have experience, where are the gaps or holes in their playing. If working with a beginner, we sometimes need to pick out an instrument. I tend to lean towards a well-rounded approach with beginners, usually including an instruction book.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in music performance from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. I've worked as a freelance musician in New York City, and I have experience teaching private students for over 12 years. This includes a 5 year period working at Mark Murphy's Music (one of the premier music schools in the greater NY/NJ area.
