About
Jim Coventry is a professional photographer and graphic artist, living full time in Naples, FL since 2015 and serves Marco Island, Estero, Bonita Springs, Cape Coral and Fort Myers.
Jim photographs people, inspired by emotion.
He thinks like an artist because art has been his passion his entire life.
Family photos, individual portraits, corporate head shots have all been important but just small pieces of Jim’s work.
Invest in a legacy of beautiful portraits for precious memories. Photo prints make great interior decoration for your home as well. Or an album will continue your legacy.
The best photographs evoke emotion and trigger curiosity. I believe in the power of portraits to illicit interest, preserve love, and transform communities.
Let me know you want me to be your photographer within 35 miles of Naples, FL. I'll be there at no travel charge!

Jim Coventry provided photographic services at my 80th Birthday Party. He provided excellent work at a reasonable price and was extremely punctual in delivering not only the final album but also whatever additional prints were requested. I would have no reservations in using Jim again for any future photographic needs.

Our experience with Jim was amazing. He took photos of my family for my parents 25th anniversary. He was early to our venue, had many pose ideas, and was very patient and encouraging. He returned our photos incredibly quickly and they were all very beautiful. Definitely a great value for your money. Thanks Jim!

We loved working with Jim. He’s very communicative. We had a large group with a toddler. He gave us great ideas on locations.

I would highly recommend Jim Coventry! I reached out to Jim to do photos of my family on the beach. Jim was quick to respond to my request on Thumbtack. His price was very reasonable. In addition, he checked out several local beaches to find the perfect spot. Jim found the perfect location (Barefoot Beach in Bonita Springs). He was prompt, friendly and very professional. During the photo shoot, he showed us the pictures he had taken of us on his camera. We loved the pictures. Jim is truly a talented photographer! Looking forward to using Jim for photos the next time we visit the Bonita Springs/Naples area!

I had the pleasure of collaborating with photographer Jim Coventry on a recent project for one of our major clients, and I couldn't be more impressed with his work. Our event featured actor Jim Caviezel as a guest speaker following his latest film, "Sound of Freedom," and Jim's photography truly captured the essence of the event.
Jim's professionalism and years of experience in the photography industry were evident throughout the project. He arrived early to ensure everything was set up perfectly and stayed late to capture every important moment. The results were amazing – Jim's shots were breathtaking and truly brought the event to life.
Jim's dedication to his craft and commitment to delivering exceptional results make him a standout photographer. I would highly recommend Jim to anyone needing a talented and reliable photographer for their event. We will continue collaborating with Jim on future projects for sure!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
On THUMBTACK I get your request for quote. If I have an open date or time for your project I reply to that request. Then if you like my quote you can respond via email or texting. We communicate about where and when we should begin, I do the project according to my response to your request and er are done with that project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to Southern Illinois University Vocational Technical Institute in Carbondale Illinois, then through a contract with Kodak went to Kodak's MIT extension in Billireca, Mass. for color theory which taught me how to teach employees and willing clients about a new for of color separation. This added to my education in computer based graphics. In my company we had a 5 man beta test team working first working with Aldus who wrote Photoshop, Illustrator and Pagemaker - later to be InDesign with Adobe. Aldus was acquired by Adobe and Adobe loved my beta testing team so continued through 1994 when I sold my company and I continued beta testing, solo till 2010
