- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
PLEASE, make sure you hire a licensed and insured contractor. It is for your protection. for you and your wallet. Please Read this information our Intent is just to educate you. If you think your homeowner's policy is going to cover you, think again. It likely won't unless you've purchased additional coverage for in-home employees. Workman's Compensation. If a contractor's employee who was injured on your property but the contractor did not carry workman's comp insurance for that employee that can cost you also. Your homeowner's insurance policy may help cover the cost to pay the workers claim. After you meet your deductible, but that claim could result in an increase in your rates and make it more difficult for you to get insured in the future. Next The Unlicensed Contractor: Hiring an unlicensed contractor could cost you BIG!
