- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I always provide a free one-hour consultation to all clients. I also pride myself on my efforts to be cost effective and efficient, as I believe that happy clients lead to referrals. I focus on growing a network of satisfied clients -- instead of running up high bills for one client like some attorneys will do! My hourly rate is on the lower end of the market for the very same reason, and I shift administrative work to my paralegals as an additional cost-saving measure.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you meet an attorney in person, before you hire them! Talk with them about their billing procedures and how they handle retainers so that you are not left surprised with a huge bill. Ask to meet the staff who will be working on your case as well.
