My experience with the Spence law firm was outstanding! I worked with Mr. Spece on a family law matter that went through the courts for one year before him. I have worked with many attorneys and his immediate attention to my concerns and the best interest of my children will never be forgotten. He is noble, knowledgeable, and most times available after hours. Divorce is not easy and mine was complicated by many factors yet , I will always appreciate the time, dedication, and conscise methods used in my case. Only God could have sent him!

I was dealing with a very complex Family Law case and was blessed to have found Mr. Spence. I didn't have much money and when contacting him he made me feel at ease. He stood by me and kept me informed the entire time. I've always gotten the impression that attorneys were all about their bank account. We worked the hiring details out and he committed himself to the entire divorce and child sharing process. My case was appealed multiple times and unfortunately took years to resolve. He never let me down or made me feel he like he was all about the money. He is compassionate and understanding. AND he still takes my calls even though my case is closed. After all of the time and effort he put in - it paid off !!! He is a great attorney. I have sent multiple people his way and I would definitely hire him again!

When I was at very low point in my life. I contacted Mr. Spence to help me with my divorce. Mr. Spence was able to give me a free initial consultation where he answered all of my questions. He ultimately ended up representing me and my ex-wife in our divorce which saved us a lot of lawyer fees (e.g. by only needing one lawyer opposed to separate lawyers) and negotiating fees. In the end, our divorce was settled and my ex-wife and I walked away feeling like we got everything that we wanted at a fair price. I highly recommend Mr. Spence should you find yourself in need of a divorce attorney.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

For contested litigation matters the firm bill at a competitive hourly rate, because we never know how long a contested matter will take to complete. For uncontested divorce proceedings, the firm bills at a flat fee, because we know how long the work will take. We have lower overhead costs than bigger law firms and pass the savings on to you.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We like to make sure that new clients feel comfortable and have an opportunity to ask questions and learn about the process. The law is complicated and can be tricky. We typically answer initial questions in a telephone call and then schedule an in-person meeting to discuss things in a bit more detail. We have an "open door" policy so clients can always call or email with questions or concerns.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida in 1995. I majored in Political Science and minored in Business Administration. I earned my law degree, with honors, from The University of Florida College of Law in 1999, where I also served as an editor on The Florida Law Review.
