About
Exceptional eye for composition, understanding of how to creatively use light & color and how to capture those "awh moments" from the people being photographed. I have been a photographer for over 32 years and working as Creative Director at a full service agency has given me the unique advantage of working with models and products from many different industries. My photoshop skills are second to none. I provide clients with a hi-res DVD of FINISHED and RAW images and a set of low-res images for web and social media. Clients get full copyrights to all commissioned photos with the allowance of Gibson Creative Services using the images for my self-promotion as sample work. Don't pay for expensive prints or usage fees ever again. Meeting people and making them laugh... photography is fun and should be enjoyed by everyone. Many of my customer become friends with my wife and I and follow each other on facebook.

The photos shoot went excellent. I loved that I saw the shots immediately after they were shot to make sure we were happy. Mom son loves is photos. I did expect a more traditional studio but Jim gets the job done. Jim is very accommodating and our shoot was a team effort all our ideas were considered and executed. Go ahead and book him I have high standards for people I do business with and Jim as met those.

We were very pleased with Jim's work. He conversed with the people who attended and walked around to get photos of other areas of the home for the owners who appreciated it. Thank You Jim. Should we need your assistance another time, we will be sure to call you, Christmas or not. Diane

Gibson Creative Services served as a photographer for my wife's 30th birthday. It was a smaller affair (approximately 50 guests), but plenty of care and attention was given to the event. The photographer showed up half an hour early to get a feel for the venue, and to start capturing photos of the guests as they arrived. I received an extensive list of photos, via drop box, to review the very same night (the event was Saturday night, and it ended at 11pm). A DVD with the high res pics were sent out that morning, and I received it within a day or two. I am very happy with the quality of the pictures, the professional demeanor of the photographer and the overall service. I feel very comfortable recommending Gibson Creative Services to anyone who may need a photographer.

Two thumbs up for Jim....we couldn't have been more pleased as he was accommodating to all of our requests some of which were... the time of day, a couple of different locations at the site we chose, and a large group (10). He communicated often, returned my emails and calls in a timely manner and wanted to ensure we were pleased during the whole process and with the final product. He went beyond our expectations and would not hesitate to use him again....This was the first experience for our family of using a photographer to take a family photo and I can't imagine it being any more positive..

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Talking with customers to find out exactly what their needs are is most important. I create a service agreement from that discussion that details the project and budget, so there are no grey areas and everyone is happy.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelors of Design from the University of Florida.. Go Gators!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Photography - Review sample work and focus on how the photographer uses light.. using flash even in daylight can bring energy and life to portrait photos instead of being boringly flat or uncomfortably hard with shadows. Always look for the most experience in your price range, experienced photographers know how to create the right situation to get the best images... especially in event photography when moments pass in an instant. Look for styles within the photographers samples that you can see fitting your ideas. A photographer with shown versatility usually is able to accommodate most requests, bring reference images if you have a specific look in mind. An established photographer has a studio. Be sure you get complete usage rights to all images shot on your behalf. Some photographers shoot cheap and get you with using the pictures... that is just wrong. I recommend getting a high resolution disk of all final images (and low-resolution versions of all the images for social media) as your deliverable and then printing them yourself... it is easy and cheap. Look for positive feedback from past customers for quality and ease of working with. Try and book as far ahead as you can to reserve a shoot date and inform the photographer of any special needs or requests such as props or hair and make-up services. Marketing/Advertising - Organize your project to clearly define what you are looking for and what the deliverables are. How many revisions are included or at what rate for additionals. Determine your budget and let the creative know what it is. A good vendor is going to maximize your projects to fit your budget, not wasting time/time proposing things that don't fit. We are looking to build relationships with client for the long haul.
