FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard mediation fee is $500 for up to four hours, which covers most family mediation sessions. If additional time is needed, it is billed at $100 per hour. A 50% deposit is required to reserve your appointment, with the remaining balance due at least 24 hours before the mediation. If both parties prefer, the mediation fee can be split equally, with each party paying their respective share directly. My fee includes the mediation session and the preparation of any agreements reached during mediation. I believe in transparent pricing, so there are no surprise fees.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My goal is to make the mediation process as straightforward and stress-free as possible. We begin with a brief conversation to discuss your situation and determine whether mediation is the right fit. Once your session is scheduled, you'll receive all the information you need to prepare, including any forms or documents that may be helpful. Most mediations are conducted securely via Zoom, making it easy for clients anywhere in Florida to participate from the comfort of their own homes. During the mediation, I facilitate a respectful, productive discussion while remaining completely neutral. If an agreement is reached, I prepare the necessary mediation documents for your review and signature. Throughout the process, my focus is on helping both parties communicate effectively and work toward practical, lasting solutions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and a Florida Supreme Court Certified County Mediator, having completed the education, training, mentorship, and certification requirements established by the Florida Supreme Court. In addition to my mediation training, I bring more than 25 years of professional experience working alongside the legal community. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with attorneys, judges, and court professionals, giving me a strong understanding of the legal process while always serving in a neutral, non-legal role. I regularly mediate family disputes involving divorce, parenting plans, time-sharing, child support, and related issues. My focus is on helping people communicate effectively, resolve conflict, and reach practical agreements in a respectful, professional environment.
