About
What you see is what you get. My samples are representative of what I do at parties and events with a little less shading than the samples with the most shading. I don't put color caricatures up for a reason. I feel the client needs to see what they're actually getting for their party. I'm faster than most artists, even with the samples that I have displayed. I can go even faster with less background and looser drawings. But I'll still get a very good likeness, regardless of how fast I draw.
Many artists claim to draw exceptionally fast. I'm not questioning their speed, although I've seen some outrageous claims, but regardless of how fast many claim to be, their samples that they have on display may or may not reflect the level of speed drawing that they claim to do. I feel it necessary that the client knows what to expect for their money.
Many guests have told me I'm "the best" caricature artist they've seen at an event, namely because I'm fast and get an excellent likeness. I'm highly professional. You can trust that my work will not offend anyone, and I treat the guests and the client with respect. I rarely take breaks, if ever--I work straight through.
I love the freedom to work for myself, calling my own hours. I love marketing my product as well as drawing. And more than anything, I really love making the client and their guests as happy to receive their caricatures as I am to draw them! This really is a fun job! I've met a lot of people.

Marsha was a hit at our vow renewal. She was professional and did a great job with each guest. So much so that the venue owner exchanged information with her to pass on to other clients. We are pleased that Marsha shares her talent and provides a little something different for guests to take home with them.

Marsha came to our daughter’s 1st birthday party and was the highlight! She was so professional and made the party so fun. She does great work and we even hung up a few of our caricatures in our house as a momentum of this milestone!

Marsha was a hit at our national convention! She chatted with each person while she drew their caricature, and I saw several people come back for other drawings. It was a great piece of entertainment we had in our trade show hall to help draw people in.

I cannot say enough good things about Marsha. She arrived on time and stayed late. Marsha is a very talented artist. We had so many complements about the caricatures that she drew. Thanks again, Marsha for a job well done!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My usual rate is $300 for up to three hours, minimum, within an hour's drive of Orlando. My rates go up (but not by much), depending upon the distance, beyond that point. There are no extra charges, although there may be an occasional instance where I may need to be reimbursed for a parking fee (if there's a charge for parking above a minimal amount) or on the rare occasion the venue requires insurance--neither should cost more than 5-10% above the amount already being paid.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally communicate by email or text messaging, which are good ways to have a record of our conversation, without worrying about writing down details that could get lost. (Although if the customer prefers to speak by phone, I'll do that, too!) But my main preference for email is due to the fact that I send samples of my work to potential clients and then once hired, I'm able to send an agreement/invoice by email.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The ability to draw is a natural talent. The only formal education I have relates to graphic design which is a completely different art form from illustration and cartooning. I'd say the biggest influence, concerning my illustration and cartooning, has been working with other artists. We all feed off one another's work and are influenced to some degree by one another, I'm sure.
