- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Although this industry only requires about 14 our of CE, I take over 100 in a two year period, Fair Housing changes, for instance, requires update as it is one of the most complicated regulations in the industry. In addition we attend legal seminars to remain current with changes in Landlord and Tenant laws and others.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I thank my mother everyday for "The challenge." She wanted me to become a dentist. When I told her that I was planning to pursue a career in real estate she said "You will never make it." It has been 30 + years of being a proud member of the real estate management community. The irony is that in 1995 my mother joined me in real estate and still is! I'm very proud of her.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Since 2009 we have worked with many remodeling projects coming from the foreclosure waves. We prepare strategies and coordinate the completion of all the renovations. During the renovations process we are actively marketing and most of the time have been successful in procuring a resident by the time the rental is ready.
