What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fees are per hour of service. Services that are under an hour will be charges at a minimum rate of 1 hour and 15 minute increments thereafter.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am Nationally Certified by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Nationally Certified (Healthcare) from the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters, State Certified in Oregon from the Oregon Health Authority (Healthcare Interpreting), and have a Master's Degree in American Sign Language Interpreting Studies: General Practice.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
In college, I registered for an ASL 1 class as an elective for fun, found passion and connection within the Deaf community, and 12 years later am still growing, learning, and supporting the language and culture that I love.
