I've been singing for a couple decades, and have done pretty well with it, between choirs and serenading my steering wheel. I know I was a good singer to begin with, but he helped me clean a lot of things up in only a couple lessons, and I can already see the improvement. He's fun to work with, has a great attitude, and is very accomodating to his students. I would highly recommend him if you're looking to improve your technique and sound.Oct 9, 2019MyMusicExpert.com LLC's reply
Thanks man! I appreciate it!
Doug is so raw and honest, I chose him because he dedicated an HOUR to meet me over the phone and he was so easy to talk to and relate to (hence why it took an hour). I feel so comfortable with him, and that really does say a lot. I haven’t been able to sing in front of anybody since I was 11 or 12. Working with Doug has been such a blessing and I’m really happy with where I’m going, vocally!Dec 4, 2019VerifiedMyMusicExpert.com LLC's reply
Thank you so much for the awesome review Shelby! 😃
I'm taking voice lessons from Doug for a month now. I can't toot his horn enough ! He knows music inside out...he's honest, encouraging, goes far out of his way to make your lesson go smooth with the max amount of learning . I saw an improvement after the second lesson , my husband noticed, too. Prices are more than fair ! The icing on the cake is that Doug is a happy, upbeat guy with a deep understand of people and life ! I'm happy as a lark and I don't think Doug will be able to get rid of me any time soon...even if he wanted to. :) Rue McDonough Southern California.Jul 6, 2014Verified
I think Doug Sinning is fantastic!! I can hardly wait to start studying singing with him. He has a great breadth of musical knowledge, many up-to-the-minute technical tools, and a wonderfully warm, encouraging, interesting and fun personality. I can totally see why people give him a 5-star rating!Jun 22, 2014Verified
I've hired Doug Sinning for voice lessons. I am extremely impressed with him and the way he conducts his classes with me. He's very easy to talk to, ask questions of, and relate to. There is a specific format that he uses that not only has me improving in many areas, such as breathing and range, but also is able to show very clearly, how far I've progressed, and what I still have to learn and become competent in. He customizes the lessons to ensure that I learn and progress in the specific areas Ive asked to be instructed in. I've had a blast learning new things, bringing back knowledge that has waned in the last couple decades, and truly enjoying doing the assignments he's given me. He's a lot of fun but he's also a professional all the way. He's got the credentials, the extensive experience and, he loves what he does. All of this shows through and makes him a truly exceptional instructor of the highest caliber. I'd absolutely recommend Doug Sinning, and MyMusicExpert.com for anyone looking to learn, brush up on, or expand their musical skills in all areas. He is the teacher you'd love to find but weren't sure how to, until now that is.Aug 14, 2014Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is $50/half-hour lessons, or $100/full one-hour lessons. I do offer sales sometimes on my month-to-month subscriptions. Check the website at MyMusicExpert.com for current offers.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I assess each new student's musical skill set in their 1st lesson, and prescribe a logical set of lesson plans that will fill in any areas of missing knowledge/skills, and then I move them forward to their own success in music to reach their goals, whatever they may be.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I'm the owner, and I have a Bachelors Degree in Music from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. I studied three majors while there: Music Education, Songwriting/Composition, and Music Synthesis (synthesizers, midi, computers, home studio recording, and electronic music). I studied piano for 10 years growing up, and voice for 6 years at Berklee! You are hiring a highly qualified individual in me! 😀
