Okok Okok Where do I start?! First of all. Doug is an awesome person! He has a great personality and very fun as well! Thumbtack only allowed three options for me out of the five to choose of how I would describe Doug and his services but I would like to add the last two with his Punctuality and Value!! He knows what he is talking about and have a lot of experience, knowledge, and of course talents/skills to get you where you need to be. Doug is also very real and honest about your progress and what you need to work on. He tells you and helps you on what you NEED TO HEAR not what you WANT TO HEAR! But at the same time, he knows that you’re a human being as well so he is also very open minded, supportive, and understanding in whatever circumstances you may have or experience. I have only been with him for alittle over a month and I am learning ALOT from him and I can see little by little progression in my musician growth through Doug’s help, honesty, and support!! I have a long way to go but I know Doug will get me where I want and NEED to be ;) Yes! Hire Doug and let him be your instructor!!

Alexia only has about two month now of flute lessons. Her instructor Michael takes his time to explain the notes to Alexia whenever she gets stuck. Alexia has fun and learns a lot with Michael. I must say that I was a bit skeptical of online lessons, but after two months I'm very glad to have given it a chance.

Doug set me up w Francesco for guitar lessons - after a few lessons I can say I'm really glad I found these guys ! Francesco is teaching me some fundamentals of the fretboard that even as a fairly advanced player I had never figured out on my own. Definitely got me out of the rut I was in and ready to move on to greater challenges !

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is $50/half-hour lessons, or $100/full one-hour lessons. I do offer sales sometimes on my month-to-month subscriptions. Check the website for current offers.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I assess each new student's musical skill set in their 1st lesson, and prescribe a logical set of lesson plans that will fill in any areas of missing knowledge/skills, and then I move them forward to their own success in music to reach their goals, whatever they may be.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm the owner, and I have a Bachelors Degree in Music from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. I studied three majors while there: Music Education, Songwriting/Composition, and Music Synthesis (synthesizers, midi, computers, home studio recording, and electronic music). I studied piano for 10 years growing up, and voice for 6 years at Berklee! You are hiring a highly qualified individual in me! 😀
