I’ve only completed one lesson so far but I’m feeling very excited and hopeful. I love Doug’s energy and professionalism. He has the technical expertise to back him up along with a passionate and friendly spunk that translates wonderfully through his teaching. I’m really looking forward to working with him and improving my singing!Mar 17, 2020VerifiedMyMusicExpert.com LLC's reply

Thank you so much for the wonderful review, Connie! I truly appreciate it! :)
I'm taking voice lessons from Doug for a month now. I can't toot his horn enough ! He knows music inside out...he's honest, encouraging, goes far out of his way to make your lesson go smooth with the max amount of learning . I saw an improvement after the second lesson , my husband noticed, too. Prices are more than fair ! The icing on the cake is that Doug is a happy, upbeat guy with a deep understand of people and life ! I'm happy as a lark and I don't think Doug will be able to get rid of me any time soon...even if he wanted to. :) Rue McDonough Southern California.Jul 6, 2014Verified
Very professional and great services offered! I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn music from the comfort of their own home.Jun 18, 2014Verified
Doug set me up w Francesco for guitar lessons - after a few lessons I can say I'm really glad I found these guys ! Francesco is teaching me some fundamentals of the fretboard that even as a fairly advanced player I had never figured out on my own. Definitely got me out of the rut I was in and ready to move on to greater challenges !Nov 3, 2014Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is $50/half-hour lessons, or $100/full one-hour lessons. I do offer sales sometimes on my month-to-month subscriptions. Check the website at MyMusicExpert.com for current offers.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I assess each new student's musical skill set in their 1st lesson, and prescribe a logical set of lesson plans that will fill in any areas of missing knowledge/skills, and then I move them forward to their own success in music to reach their goals, whatever they may be.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I'm the owner, and I have a Bachelors Degree in Music from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. I studied three majors while there: Music Education, Songwriting/Composition, and Music Synthesis (synthesizers, midi, computers, home studio recording, and electronic music). I studied piano for 10 years growing up, and voice for 6 years at Berklee! You are hiring a highly qualified individual in me! 😀
