I hired Javier, once again, to help with my list of miscellaneous painting projects in Jan - March 2023. As always, he was great about explaining the process and high quality, long lasting materials he recommended using. He stripped the old finish off the mahogany front door and found the exact color of stain to give it the rich, elegant look I wanted. It's gorgeous! I wanted to give the beach house ceiling a little makeover, and asked Javier to find a cool grey color that would still let some of the grain of the wood show through. After hand sanding the high ceiling, he used a brand called Old Masters stain, hand wiped on the first coat, then gave it a second coat. The result was terrific! It transformed the feel of the entire room and I was thrilled! The garage was pretty beat up looking, especially the cement floor. We came up with a plan to spruce that up as well. Javier recommended a high end flake epoxy treatment. A little more expensive (material) than others on the market, but he promised this would last years longer. It's about a 4-5 day process start to finish, but turned out great! They also used a flex seal paint along the base of walls (prone to leaks with heavy rain), then repainted the ceiling, walls, closets and shelves with a bright white paint, and even did the interior and exterior of the old garage door. (including patching cracks). It almost looked like a new garage when finished! Fabulous work! I'm including photos for those 3 projects, but Javier is capable of any kind of painting job you need. He is a true artist, trained and specializing in decorative painting, faux finishes, Venetian plaster, etc. and Interior Design, but the training and expertise he has acquired over the past 25+ years, gives him the knowledge to choose higher quality materials to make his work last for years. He also patched severe cracks and damage on the exterior of the beach house, and recommended we repaint it all with an elastomer paint in almost the exact same shade. It's a much thicker paint that adheres to the concrete surface and has an elastic quality that will better withstand the harsh ocean wind, salt air and heavy rain. Instead of repainting it every year, this time it should last for several years! Javier has a great eye for color and is always happy to offer suggestions on ways to enhance my initial ideas. He's charming to work with and I always enjoy collaborating on our projects together.

I first started working with Javier in January 2022. Since then, he has done numerous projects for me at my Mother's home in FL. I will post other reviews, but here is a recent project done in March 2022. This was a labor intensive, faux finish job and turned out to be exquisite and glamorous. The front entry hallway, staircase and sitting room had 25 year old stained and water damaged wallpaper. Javier removed it, carefully sprayed and washed off all the old dried glue by hand so as not to damage the fragile walls. He then repaired cracks and damage, put on the base coat and finished it off with a beautiful glaze (done by hand with a cloth) for the top coat. He brought 2 cases of acrylic paint tubes and tested them out, mixing with a neutral base, until we found the closest color to match the old wallpaper - which was our goal. This is how you know you are working with someone who is a trained painter and artist - his expertise in mixing colors was amazing - as opposed to using a paint deck from store to match the color. Javier was so enthusiastic about how this would turn out, and when it was all finished, and all the trim was repainted, I have to say, it was so much more elegant than I imagined. Absolutely stunning. I highly recommend him for anyone who wants to glam up their home or business. Javier is a true talent and perfectionist and I promise, you will have a "flawless" and amazing finish when he is done with your project!

This was the first job I hired Javier to do. My mother's kitchen in Palm Beach needed a major refresh, and we decided to paint all the cabinets, drawers and appliance covers, which were a French yellow, with a bright white paint. Javier said he could hand paint them all with a water based alkaline high quality paint. He started by lightly sanding all the damaged pieces, patched where needed and then moved on to priming over the yellow paint before applying 2 coats of bright white. Wow! What an incredible transformation. The kitchen feels updated, fresh and with all the trim, doors, windows painted to match, it was an incredibly affordable refresh without ripping everything out and starting over. Javier and his assistant did an incredible job, were polite and meticulously payed attention to every last detail -- and, got it all done in a timely fashion. He is not only extremely professional, talented, knowledgeable about paint products, etc., but he is so charming and easy to work with. He cleaned everything after the job and helped put all my Mother's delicate dishes, prints, mirrors and accessories back in place. So grateful to have found a gem like Javier and I highly recommend him for any kind of painting project you need done "flawlessly!"

Another fabulous project done by Javier! I have used him for several jobs, so I'm trying to post each individually with photos. This was a dining room in Palm Beach with a beautiful mural (palm tree and tropical theme), but after 25 years, the walls were peeling and there was significant water damage and fading from leaks. I asked Javier if he could strip and repair the existing finish and find someone to re-create the same or similar design. It was a complicated job b/c the underlying walls were old and fragile. He used an acid wash to strip down most of the existing paint, had to reinforce the walls up and down with nails, skim coat and smooth the surface and prep it for primer and paint. The muralist he hired did an amazing job creating something that was very similar with a lot of special design touches. Once done, all the trim and windows, door frames were repainted, as well. The result was absolutely gorgeous! So happy! This project was done while I was out of town, and the communication from Javier was terrific. He thoroughly described the process, any problems he encountered, quickly provided solutions and sent progress photos daily. Javier's extensive knowledge about the materials needed for this job solidified my confidence that I had chosen the right painter. He matched the tint of the wall color perfectly too. Javier is lovely to work with, and pays attention to every detail. Absolutely thrilled and highly recommend his work!

Well, I must say, this was an extraordinary experience. Javier is a very talented Artist and can envision a room before it is actually finished. I tried my best to sort of force my bad taste ( I admit to it ) but, he kept turning me down no matter how much of a nag I was. Well, my house is truly gorgeous and as I read other reviews, mu advice would be DO trust him!! I learned the hard way no to question his decisions, he wanted me to work together with him and all I did was buy furniture and items which were returned and end up costing me money.
