We are a husband and wife photography team from Northern Virginia specializing in fine art wedding photography.
We are hopeless romantics, who love doing everything together. We love pretty wedding details and gorgeous decor, we love soft light, we love sharing our couples joy, but most of all we love preserving the moments that our couples will treasure for the rest of their lives.

Kent's Photography was outstanding! I had never heard of The Kent's Photography nor had any recommendations, but I liked what I read in their reviews. Jon and Becky made our vow renewal ceremony so easy! They were with us for 6 hours and didn't stop taking pictures the entire time. Becky worked with me while I was in Singapore (a 12 hour time difference and where I currently work!) so there were many late night and early morning emails on both ends. I am glad she asked me as many questions as she did so that we could plan and prepare for our photos. She and Jon were flexible and constantly had ideas and were capturing special moments. The actual big day was seamless due to their preparations! When we saw our photos, we literally cried because they were so beautiful! We so appreciate them capturing our special day! Daniel and I thank you both so much for all of your help and wonderful work!

Jon and Becky Kent are so wonderful, talented, professional, and fun! Booking them as our wedding photographers for our 4/21/18 wedding was one of the best decisions we made throughout the whole wedding process. After an agonizing search for a photographer (great photos were one of our agreed-upon ‘must have’s for our wedding but we were on a tight budget), we stumbled upon The Kents here on Thumbtack. From our very first communication, to our early-morning DC cherry blossom engagement shoot, to our post-wedding photo and social media sharing, they were amazing in answering our questions, and going above-and-beyond service-wise. They compiled a beautiful written guide to help us understand what to expect with the whole process, incorporated our requested list of ‘must-have’ shots seamlessly, kept everyone (especially the bride!) sane during the day itself, stuck around past their agreed-upon time so they could make sure to get good shots of everyone dancing, and last but not least, took thousands of AMAZING photos!! They captured the feeling of our day perfectly, and we’re pretty sure Jon is some sort of super hero because they got our edited photos turned around to us SUPER fast! Throughout it all they were happy, relaxed, and reassuring so that it didn’t feel awkward at all – just fun! We are going to cherish these photos and our memories from our day forever, in a large part thanks to The Kents!

Our wedding experience is $3200. However we’re happy to customize your experience to fit your needs!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We don’t just want to take pictures on your wedding day, we want to say create a real connection. We want to support, encourage and cheer you on. We hope to be your photographers, but more importantly, your friends. Forever. We want to spoil you with special treats, encouragement and to pamper you with exceptional service and to craft a complete wedding experience unlike any other.

Together we have over 10 years of experience, and have shot hundreds of weddings.
