Introduction: My focus is to make it easy for my clients to feel confident and look their very best every day. Whether it is to teach you which colors and styles are the most flattering on you, create new outfits from items you already own to a closet audit, I'm dedicated to catered to your individual needs. Aside from my Fashion Merchandising degree, I spent many years in the fashion retail world, working closely with clients to meet their needs, while gaining perspective on the business side and top tier level of exceptional customer service. My sister offered me a consult with Wendy as a birthday gift. I don't consider myself a fashionist and was a little unsure intially. I loved the consult! Wendy worked before our consult to obtain my goals and I feel like the virtual consult later was geared towards fashion goals that were achievable for my lifestyle. She had great ideas about how to use items in my wardrobe more frequently that I don't use as often. She listened when I was hesistant about dressing up more often for simple occasions, and offered solutions and motivation for how to make it more feasible, and effortless. Her advice was fitting for my particular body type as well. She was available for questions after the consult as well and provided a lookbook for inspiration. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for some advice for your style/look!

Not enough words of praise exist when describing my experience with Wendy of Antidote Styles. I have always been an insecure shopper needing approval and guidance from someone else, whether it’s casual wear to dressing for trendy restaurants and work events. My poor husband always has to hear those words every man dreads, “Babe, how do I look?”! For this reason and more, Wendy was the perfect antidote for my wardrobe woes. She helped me declutter my closet, worked with items I owned, and she created a beautiful look-book for me to purchase and update my style. The links she provided were an easy click away from nice items she found online, based on my budget, my taste, and lifestyle. I felt so at ease having her come to my home and take over my boudoir. She instantly offered what no friend or relative would ever do for me. I was impressed by her honest critiques and her natural way to completely dedicate her time and focus on ME. Wendy figured out very quickly how to lift my spirits and she helped me break down some negative self-image issues I struggle with. I actually had so much fun with the process. My closet looks beautiful, and I want to believe so do I 😉 I am looking forward to my next session and I highly recommend Wendy! You could put all your trust in her! 💕

I really can’t say enough wonderful things about this experience. Wendy was thorough researching stores for my needs the day before, asking for store discounts and most importantly, helping me choose and buy items I will wear and wouldn’t normally pick! (Which is what I wanted.) She didn’t push me to buy or wear anything I wasn’t in to and was emotionally supportive when I needed it. I got some great looks, a new friend and confidence in my clothes, which is making me want to be out in the world more. I’d say that’s a success!!

I would like to write about my experience with Wendy, female owner of Antidote Styles LLC, in hopes to persuade any person interested in her services to DO IT RIGHT NOW! A friend of mine recommended Wendy and her styling services and since that day my life has been forever better. Wendy scheduled a date to come to my house, not only was she on time but she arrived with my favorite Starbucks order. At first, I thought I would feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed with someone going through my closet but it couldn't have been more of the opposite. I tried on clothes, we talked, laughed at some of my clothing pieces and set up a plan for my future wardrobe. Wendy's knowledge about fashion combined with her outgoing, compassionate personality is what changed me for the better. She helped me in realizing I wore clothes that were over sized and that I did not have basics to rely on. She empowered me to feel confident in my body as a woman and chose items for me to purchase that I felt comfortable in, that were my style and that emphasized my physique. We also found many items in my closet that were able to be mixed and matched in ways I would have never thought of (a bargain experience, happy hour items sitting right there not being used!). She taught me how to purchase items for myself which seems silly but it is not, how to maximize my own closet potential and most importantly how to wear things that made me feel good about myself. I gained a kickass wardrobe and a friend I am proud of for finding what she is good at and getting out there changing the world one closet at at time! I highly recommend Antidote Styles, be ready to have your closet rocked!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I want to keep things very simple, I offer the following services: - Personal Styling - Personal Shopping (min 4 hours) - Closet Edit - Packing Services (min 2 hours) - Photoshoot Styling *Willing to travel to customer. Customized packages are available upon request. For in-person sessions, I will travel 35 miles from Lighthouse Point, Florida at no extra cost. Transit time and cost will be added for any commute exceeding 35 miles. Full payment is due upon booking services. Deposit amount varies between packages. Rescheduling request must be made 48 hours prior to the start of the appointment. I strive to always be transparent and fair with pricing.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a complimentary 30 min consultation to learn more about you, lifestyle, challenges currently facing and styling goals. We can meet in-home, or a local coffee shop within 35 miles of Lighthouse Point. If you are not local, then Skype or Zoom is the next best option. After we decide to work together, I'll send you a questionnaire to dive a bit more about your goals. I want all my clients to consider this an investment in them!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Florida State University with my Fashion Merchandising Degree and a minor in Business in 2007. Since then, I've worked with companies such as Dillards, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic and JCrew, all in Managerial/Sales role. I've always had a passion for styling others and while being successful in my roles with these companies, I've managed to curated relationships with repeating clients, simply because they knew I had the best interest in their style needs/goals. It truly bring me joy helping others feeling great not only in what they wear but in their lifestyle.
