Jordan Kohn is the owner/CEO and has been highly responsive and professional. He is taking over a project that had been started by another contractor and was not completed. He seems very knowledgeable about city permitting etc..... excellent choice!Jul 24, 2019Verified
www.allaroundbuilder.com came out to give an estimate for my master bathroom remodel and was on time unlike a few other contractors i had come out. There price was a little higher then other contractors but i went with them anyways because of the professionalism and references. they ended up doing a great job with the installation and passed all inspections. i even recommended to my friends and family.Nov 20, 2014
All Around Builder came in to clean up a mess made by another contractor. They did a great job on our master bath. Very professional, honest and their work is the very best. I am giving All Around Builders a 5 star review. They are OUTSTANDING.May 28, 2014
All Around Builders handled our reno of a 3,400 sq ft condo in downtown Fort Lauderdale and did an outstanding job. I am in real estate and have dealt with numerous contractors over the last 3 decades and Robert and his team are clearly top notch among them. He was tremendously flexible and able to handle all requests in a timely manner. More importantly, he used his vast experience to make suggestions that ultimately saved us money and resulted in a better product over all. We trusted his entire team and had no reservations about letting them have full access of our home even after we moved in with our 2 dogs. They were respectful of our space and diligent in the work. They were always responsive, and addressed all our concerns. They even patiently dealt with my picky wife, and always with a smile. We are very satisfied customers and would highly recommend them.Sep 27, 2017
They were very professional, punctual, neat and a pleasure to work with on my mom's Bathroom Remodel. The tiler, Edwin, was great at his job and Jordan one of the partners did everything to please us and he did. We definitely will be hiring them for more projects we want to have done. Thanks All Around Builder!May 12, 2017Verified
License Type: Certified Air Conditioning Contractor (FL)
License Type: Home Inspector (FL)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Continuing Education is a vital part of my industry. Every two years, I'm required to take 14 hours of education for my construction industry licenses (general, roofing & plumbing). On top of that, I have to take additional hours of classes for my Mold-related licenses (assessor & remediator). Furthermore, I have to take separate classes for my Inspector license. Most contractor find these classes to be a waste of time, or even a money-grab. I'm a little less cynical. License-holders become licensed at different times in history. Some as far back as the 1970's. As you can imagine, the building technologies, laws, codes and other aspects of our industry have changed and improved. The continuing education requirements play an important role in making sure every license holder is aware of these updates and changes.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I used to be in the IT industry. I'm CompTIA A+ and Microsoft MCP, MCSA & MCSE certified. In the late 90's, when the dot.com bubble burst, I began doing website development for a few companies. One of those companies was a General Contracting firm. I found construction management to be very interesting and rewarding. So, I started working there on the ground level; doing demolition. From there, I found more trade-work that I wanted to learn about; plumbing, A/C, electrical, roofing. I wanted to know it all. I've gathered work experience working for pretty much every trade. With that experience, I pursued getting licensed in the various construction fields. As of today, I personally hold a General Contracting, Roofing, Plumbing, Home Inspector, Mold Assessor & Mold Remediator licenses. In August, I passed the Class "A" Air Conditioning license, and am currently pursuing a Real Estate Sales Associate license.
- What types of customers have you worked with? Most of the work we perform are Kitchen Remodeling, Bathroom Remodeling and general Home Improvement. From upgrading electrical panels, replacing your roof, repairing your plumbing, replacing your A/C... Pretty much anything you need repaired, remodeled, added or improved with your home, we can do.
