FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of the Professional United Pet Sitters (PUPS) and many other Pet based web sites and organizations. I am constantly learning and updating new information on various types of animals. One can never nor should never stop learning if they care enough about what they do. I try my best to pass on new things to my customers as I find as well. I encourage my customers to ask me questions as I will always find them an answer or lead them to someone who can.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been such a tremendous animal lover. I wanted to become a Veterinarian since I was a child but just could not do well enough in the math. I have a special connection with animals. I just love doing it so much I would do it for free if I was not like everyone else and had bills to pay. Being around animals is so rewarding and joyful. They give unconditional love. I would not trade it for the world
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for someone who your animal trust and has many years of experience. Finding someone that truly takes your needs and your pets ("Kids) best interest to heart is vital. A person that is in this business for the sake and love of animals will listen to you closely and work with and provide anything that is needed. Hint, if your animal does not like the prospective sitter, do not hire!! Check their references and background closely. Many people are claiming to be sitters these days due to the economy but many should not be doing this. Use caution. A great sitter is a wonderful gift but a bad one is a nightmare.
