FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer both a fixed fee and an hourly fee arrangement. After speaking with the client to know their needs, the timing of the job and resources we will deploy, we provide them with the anticipated price that will give them the most value. Once that is agreed to we document that in writing and begin work. Any changes needed are made based on written updates to the agreement.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
To get the certifications that I hold, I had to complete a course of study and pass a test as well as demonstrate proficiency in the field. Yes, as part of the CPA license I am required to get CPE in accounting, taxation and general business. This is monitored and reported each 2 years to the State of FL. You can verify the status of my license of the state website for the board of business and professional regulation. Also, as part of my CVA designation I must obtain CPE in matters related to business valuation over a rolling 3 year period. This is also reported on each anniversary.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always enjoyed math and accounting is 'the language of business". I also like people and helping them understand the management of their finances or the business they run. Understanding how an enterprise works and how to make it more profitable is a puzzle to be solved.
