My first encounter with JFI Productions was in 2004 during a field recording in St Louis, and in that same year I had the pleasure of working with JFI on recording an event on an international cruise ship. Since that time the resulting audio and video works that I have seen surface from JFI each are their own masterpieces. The work that goes into recording an event involves much more than professional A/V equipment - it takes a very talented individual to capture & produce a finished product. It's no mystery that the technology used is only as good as the person running it, and with JFI there is a very extensive resume behind this team, which includes at least one film JFI has contributed to film that has been screened at film festivals internationally. JFI has recorded Internationally, and I've seen their works from footage captured in both Europe and the United States. JFI keeps ahead of the competition by mixing the best combination of pure HD video source(s) with crystal clear, uncompressed audio recording(s), and this is accomplished using the exact same software found in professional studios all over the world. Once the video & audio is captured, it takes an expert to be able to edit this footage into a format that is not only viewable, but more importantly is enjoyable and as real as life itself. Too many times I see people use unnecessary effects in a video's post-production stages. JFI delivers the finish product to your liking, and of the hundreds of DVDs I've seen come from the JFI shop, I am yet to turn one off due to disappointment. contact by email, speak on the phone and see what is required, decide on a format and price and set up job!
What types of customers have you worked with?
film weddings, parties, events, conventions, concerts. transfer 8mm, vhs, hi8, beta, old slides, old pictures to DVD or Blu ray. photo restorations, photos transferred to dvd and or blu ray, editing of any previously shot footage, can shoot up to a 5 camera production all in HD for dvd or blu ray.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for competitive pricing and how quickly the job can be done. Also, ask for samples of the persons work to assure the quality is up to you're standard.
