I absolutely LOVE my job. I think it's important in any profession to truly love what you are doing. For me, the wedding day is a big bundle of excitement. I'm always smiling, laughing, and cutting up with the bride & groom's families. Just the feeling of love and connection on that day is so special to me, and something that I love to be able to do so often. Past the wedding day, my work is timeless yet fun. You won't look back on your wedding images and find that they are "dated" like the trends of selective coloring or sepia with vignette. Instead, you will see your images in the same way that you saw your wedding day -- absolutely beautiful. My hope above all else is that your wedding album will take you back to that day, to all of the excitement, the laughter, and the tears. I enjoy making people smile! I want for you, your bridal party, and your guests to have fun on your wedding day. In order to do that, I try to alleviate as much stress from you as I can, while laughing with you.

Danielle McCann is one of those photographers that you just didn't think existed. Our story...We were getting married in Sept. 2009 and like most couples we were on a tight budget. I didn't have any clue how much photographers were but I knew they were pricey. I continued to plan everything else sticking to our budget the best I could. Then the time came to get our photographer. I knew the kind I wanted, I wanted someone that was creative with props, who didn't make you pose (and when I say pose I mean those photographers that you go on their website and all the poses are the same just different people in the photo, you know...veil covering the bride and groom, the dad pulling his empty pockets out of his pants, cookie cutter photography...but anyway back to the story...) who could truly catch the moment so when others look at the pictures they felt like they were there...yep I wanted all of that and I wanted it to be affordable. Turns out there are a lot of great photographers out there that can do all that but the key word here is "affordable"! Well Danielle McCann is all that and AFFORDABLE! She has all of these great ideas, products, props....etc She's great and she understands that just because you're on a budget, doesn't mean you can't have your special day captured in photos and be proud to share them. My husband and I have one of our favorite photos over our fireplace. Not only did she capture a sweet moment of us dancing by ourselves, she got all these beautiful flowers, ironwork and lampposts in the photo so it's almost like a landscape as well. Danielle McCann is great at what she does and has also become a great friend of ours. We have had a mini session with her since the wedding and plan to do many more. Thanks Danielle for capturing our special day! For those who are reading this that are thinking of Danielle for your wedding photos, I have to tell you there is so much going on on your wedding day it's all a blur when it's over but when we saw our wedding album we got to see the smiles on people's faces, the colors, the details, the dancing, the fun, the beginning of our story...thanks to Danielle McCann! Love her!

We have the roughest time getting photos of our family. As a photographer myself, i often tried to use the tripod, only to fail in getting what I wanted. I was also very very choosy about selecting a photographer that my biased self would trust to capture my family in the style that I wanted.  Danielle was a dream come true, she not only met my high expectations but soared above them. She got great shots of my oldest who doesnt like the camera too much, many expressive shots of my youngest, and fabulous shots of myself and my husband. The highlight are the family shots that show who we are as a family. I adore these images and will glady hang and cherish the huge prints that I ordered. :)

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I think complication is overrated, so I've simplified everything! All of my packages currently include all digital images. This means that your images are emailed directly to you as soon as the proofs are available and you may re-print them anywhere you'd like! It doesn't get much easier than that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes!! I feel like photography is a continually changing field, and in order to keep up with it I must stay on top of my game. For this reason, I attend various workshops, classes, and conferences throughout the year. This keeps me on top of the latest trends and products to pass along to you! I am always trying to incorporate the "latest & greatest" with my tried & true style to give my clients a truly custom experience.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First and foremost, you have to like the photographer's style. Get a feel for their style by looking through several folders on their website. Look for the consistency -- do they shoot mostly black & white? Color? Traditional? Contemporary? A nice, happy medium? Find the style that you fall in love with and don't settle for less!
