While the technician was knowledgeable, my husband and I would never recommend this company to anyone. We scheduled a thermostat installation and waited for hours, only for the technician to arrive several hours late. I had already been waiting most of the day. For comparison, Taylor Air would have come out, installed the thermostat if we weren’t have any issues outside of wanting a new thermostat, and verified everything worked prior to suggesting any additional services on the unit. Just 30 days prior, Taylor Air had serviced the entire property cleaned the units, replaced filters, and confirmed everything was in great working condition. They did excellent work, were honest, didn’t push unnecessary services, and charged fairly. Although our units are older, Taylor Air confirmed they were in prime condition. Unfortunately, Taylor Air wasn’t available until the next day, so we decided to try Del Air to save time and to see if they could earn our future business, as we own several properties. The technician from Del Air stated he could only install the thermostat if he also serviced the unit, even though I explained multiple times that everything was working perfectly. He inspected the thermostat we wanted replaced and discovered that it was actually compatible with the unit the only issue was that maintenance had forgotten to program it. That’s why it was only producing heat. It took him literally 5 mins to program it correctly. He also mentioned that wires were sticking out of the outdoor condenser and could cause tripping due to exposure. However, that was not the case when Taylor Air last serviced it. I’m not saying he tampered with it or anything, but it definitely wasn’t like that before. Initially, he quoted us over $530 to install ONE of their thermostats so 2 would be probably around $1100 or so dollars mind you a standard thermostat retails for only $30–$60 at Lowe’s we’ve used them at other properties for years with no issues. This is exactly why Taylor Air gave an option for us to buy our own thermostat and have them install it, just to cut some costs. Who provides these types of suggestions? Only a company that’s honest and wants to earn your business through fair honest practices. In the end, neither unit actually needed a new thermostat. I would have preferred my husband be there because he felt like the tech took advantage of us because he wasn’t present. One thermostat simply needed to be programmed (a five-minute task), and the other which happened to be a Nest thermostat only required someone to push “OK.” Lolol. An identical Nest was in the 2nd unit but originally was locked requiring a code, so maintenance had replaced it with a Honeywell thermostat (a good brand), but again he forgot to program it and wasn’t in town to disclose this important information. The technician stayed for about 40 minutes for what was truly was a 10 min fix and charged my husband $374 dollars for essentially nothing. A simple service charge would have been fair. Unfortunately, companies that overcharge and use unfair tactics don’t realize how much business they actually lose in the long run. If they had been honest they would have been on our radar to replace all 3 systems when the time came. I hated writing this review because we like to give companies a chance but this was necessary. Stick with companies that respect your time and try to save you money they are the ones that earn your business.

Tech was very knowledgeable and explained the problem and possible solutions. He took pictures and was very thorough with his inspection. The salesman that accompanied was not pushy, but also very knowledgeable, and offered several options to choose from.

Been waiting for months on getting a zoning control board replaced. Never got back to me. Called again a few days ago and they managed to dig up the record. Scheduled for 12-2 today. 4:30pm No calls, no nothing. They then lied to me and said they called me and I didn’t answer so they skipped me. Updated because DelAir addressed/fixed the issue.
