My son really enjoyed his lesson with Dave. He is only 6 years old and Dave showed incredible patience with him. He has inspired my son to practice very hard because he wants to be like Dave. Dave is an excellent teacher and I'm very glad that we found him!

Dave Hawkins is one of the very few guitar teachers in this area. Good thing he is teaching too, because I have played and taken guitar lessons for a year and with only three and a half months studying with Dr. Hawkins, I am finally playing in my older brother's rock band. I was pretty much in beginner land when I found him. He has all the skills. He is a blast to be around. He knows every trick in the book and more. I recommend this guitar teacher.

Not a lot of instructors can take something complicated and break it down into simple easy parts. Dave Hawkins can do that. He is also very courteous and prompt. My musical skills went way up after studying with him. Five stars is not enough. He goes to eleven!

I never took guitar lessons and I learned a lot of bad habits from jamming with just videos. David corrected things like the way I had my arm way out and where my thumb goes on the back of the neck, etc. He keeps you motivated when you think you stink and he gas a million ideas that keep you getting better and better. I'm going to be 60 next month and let me tell you, it is never too late to get a real guitar teacher.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I take lessons from Steve Vai's guitar player Dave Weiner. I take lessons from Ray DeTone. Look him up and listen to any of his stuff. I collect all guitar books I can possibly find and any ebooks, epubs, PDFs, kindle books, you name it. Anything guitar lesson related.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
The decision was truly a calling from The God of Guitar. The I Am of The Universe. The one true sovereign God of everything. The God on our money. In God We Trust. And I Do Too.
