What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I assess the work request and present a bid in writing describing what I will/will not do for the dollar amount. An approximate time needed weather permitting. I start no earlier than 8 am, Mon. - Sat. 9 am on Sun if necessary. Work till dark if necessary. Depending on heat, I may stop around 1 pm and to continue around 5 pm. I use a mulching mower, a 52 inch cut ZTR. other power equipment such as edger, shear, back pack blower and chain saws.. All gas powered.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been actively involved with Horticulture since 1980. University of Wisconsin, University of Florida. Master Gardener through the extension service for over 18 years. Owned/operated Landscaping Company in Key West for 18 years. The 'Cadi-Gardener'.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Owned/Operated a Perennial Flower Nursery Wholesale and Retail for 14 yrs in Wisconsin. Moved to Key West in 94 and went from being a welder for 19 yrs to landscaping. Moved to Spring Hill area in 2012 to be closer to my aging parents. Retired in 2015 with limits on $ earned.
