Before getting into the meat of this review, I just wanted to highlight the fact that Willis drives very far to meet me and it’s very convenient for someone like me who already drives a lot for work. 10/10 for being so industrious and passionate to teach this sport! After experiencing only 2 lessons with Willis, I have made much progress. Before taking lessons, I was always missing the golf ball due to common fundamental mistakes in my swing. I always felt “lucky” when I made contact. Now I have no problems making ball contact and I have started focusing on my form and the actual process of my swing. With Willis’ guidance and expertise, I am now able to feel when my body moves the way it should, versus the way it should not, in my swing. Although much of my swing has been corrected, this precision-based sport leaves me with beaucoups of room for improvement and it is exhilarating. Thank you for all of your support, Willis!

Willis completely changed my mental and physical outlook toward the game. Let me start by saying that after losing significant weight, my swing mechanics were horrible. I was struggling to make consistent contact. I searched looking for a golf coach that would take the time to work with me and change my swing mechanics. He responded within a couple of hours after posting on thumbtack. the When I first met him, he watched a couple of swings and immediately went to work. He has been my coach now for just over 6 weeks and I have gone from a 100s player to a consistent low-mid 90s. I just broke 90 for the second time since starting golf 15 years ago. I highly recommend Willis for any beginning, intermediate, or some just liking to fine tune their play. He is patient, responsive, and has the right personable skill set to coach players at any level. I look forward to continuing to work with him with goals of making me a consistent 80s golfer.

Coach met with my 14 yo son for his first lesson and immediately put him at ease. Simplified instructions and got results. My son was eager to take another lesson. We will definitely continue with weekly lessons.

Working with Willis was a breeze. He was very responsive from the start. He was able to recognize flaws in my swing and give me immediate feedback and corrections that saw my eso get better as the lesson went on. How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a lifelong player, then coach of hockey, playing golf and golf outtings almost came hand-in-hand. I started playing golf at a very young age and found that my passion, and skill, was improving dramatically the older I got. After helping several friends, family members, even recommended students, I realized that my love for this game was easily translated into teaching. With over 25 years of hockey coaching experience as well, I feel I have the patience and know-how to guide students, not matter what age, into a level they desire.
