I am an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and have been serving as senior pastor of Burton Memorial United Methodist Church in Tavernier, Florida for over 12 years.
I have presided over hundreds of wedding while serving at Burton and have a specialty for Florida Keys weddings.

Kerry was the officiant for our 2011 underwater (yes - UNDERWATER) wedding! :) As an experienced SCUBA diver and minister, Kerry was amused to officiate such an unconventional wedding ceremony, but he handled it with the utmost professionalism and seriousness of any other of his clerical duties. He also officiated a second, more conventional "dry" ceremony for us that evening on the beach, which was equally delightful for all who attended. We can not say enough great things about our experience working with Kerry. Unlike many other members of the clergy I have met in my life, speaking candidly with Kerry prior to our wedding was a wonderful, non intimidating experience. He is easily one of the most down to earth, open minded people I have ever had the pleasure to know. He is a true asset to Burton Memorial United Methodist Church, and you will not regret your decision to work with him. :)

Reverend Foote conducted my husband and my wedding on 11/11/11 at 11:11 a.m....underwater. Yes, you read that right. When we came to him to ask him to do our sunset ceremony service (on the beach), he was intrigued to learn that we were actually taking vows twice in the same day. While we had a formal sunset ceremony planned, we also wanted to get married underwater since we're scuba divers. Kerry's eyes grew wide and told us he, too, was a diver and he would love to do the underwater portion, as well. So, we met with him to discuss our vows, the process, and how we would conduct the underwater vows (through waterproof cards, sign language, and dive signals) and it as amazing! Kerry was so wonderful to work with and really made us feel special on our day. We were honored to have a man of his high character, love of Christ, and such joy for life be part of our special day. If you're looking for a traditional service, Rev. Foote is certainly amazing for that, but if you're looking for a special twist, as well -- if you dive...go for it! -- he's open to fun ideas and making your wedding day one to remember.
