Introduction: I have trained dogs for 20 years and I have worked as a veterinary assistant and volunteer at an animal rescue farm in Maryland. I have done AKC work and agility training.
I have rescued and trained "hard to place" dogs. I don't use physical force, but rather a reward system to get specific appropriate behaviors. A well-trained dog is more secure because he/she knows what is expected. Therefore a well-trained dog is happier and allows for more freedoms.
