FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Monthly bookkeeping starts at $400/month, scoped to your specific business before you commit to anything. Most cleanup projects are quoted as a flat fee so you know the full number upfront. Here's what's always included: No surprise invoices No long-term contracts A clear quote before any work begins For cleanups that are difficult to scope upfront, I'll give you a rough estimate and bill hourly instead. Half is invoiced before we begin and the balance is due when the project is complete. For clients who want more than clean books, I also offer Clarity Advisory: a custom financial dashboard, monthly insights, and quarterly strategy sessions that turn your numbers into actual decisions. Pricing for that starts at $750/month on top of bookkeeping. One thing worth knowing: I'm not the cheapest option on Thumbtack and I'm not trying to be. The clients who find me after a cheap bookkeeper didn't work out end up paying twice, once for the bad work and again for the cleanup. A clear price for work that actually gets done is a better deal every time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a free discovery call where I learn about your business and your books. If we're a good fit, I send a clear proposal with the exact scope and price. Once you sign, you'll get access to a client portal with everything I need to get started, including step-by-step instructions for connecting your accounts. From there: Kickoff call to walk through your books together Monthly reconciliations, financials, and plain-language summaries Year-round access for questions, no extra charge CPA coordination at tax time Most clients are up and running within one to two weeks. No waiting until tax season to find out where you stand.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's degree in finance, University of Illinois Chicago Intuit Certified Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor, the highest level of certification Intuit offers Years of bookkeeping experience inside accounting firms before founding KeepBookers What that means for you: I'm not learning on your books. I've seen complex situations across manufacturing, hospitality, vending, environmental services, and franchise development, and I know how to handle them.
