Introduction: Our shooting style sets us apart from other photographers. Josh and I are both very creative! Aside from photography, Josh is a professional musician and I paint, draw, and am crafty. These other gifts help us to continue to produce gorgeous photographs with an authentic style that is truly unique. We take ideas and bounce them off of each other until we come up with something special. We get inspiration from every where! Colors, textures, sounds, emotions, just being silly, plays, concerts, classic movies...the list goes on! We honestly love what we do, it's not just a job or a hobby, we are honored when a new photography family member comes through our studio doors wanting us to work for him or her! What's not to love about being an artist! I have full liberty to be as creative as I can. The only think that can hold me back is my imagination, which I stretch as far as I can with every shoot. My clients get a good laugh when I come up with something, I tend it get REALLY excited and go to work. I love giving people their own special works of art that make their friends want some too.

We hired Alisha to do the photos and design brochures for our hippotherapy center. She is wonderful! She was very patient and got some great shots! Everyone compliments the quality of our brochures as well. We will be working with her again soon!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The session fee pays for us to travel to your shoot, the shoot length, the number of people included in the portraits, and one proof book. Some Senior sessions are split over two days and include extra merchandise. Session fees vary from $120-$1,200 Prints and other awesome merchandise are separate from the session fee (unless noted). Our prints vary in price depending on the paper, canvas, or metal options as well as any extras added. Wedding prices start at $2,900. This includes travel time within 60 miles of area code 30103, wedding day coverage by 2 photographers, print credit, a wedding proof book, and an engagement session with a proof book. We are more than happy to go to your destination location as well! Please contact us to schedule an in person consultation to discuss more details.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Through the PPA (Professional Photographers of America) we are encouraged to listen to webinars, attend seminars and conventions, as well as contact other professional photographers through a social media type website just for us pros. We have a strong photographer community that we can turn to when we have a tough question, need some new inspiration, or just want to learn something new. We are also very lucky to live so close to a past president of the PPA. We travel to his studio for a private lessons on editing, lighting, and go over new images to point out the good, the bad and the ugly. We also enjoy going back through older work and seeing what we have improved on, it's amazing how much change can happen in just a couple of months!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been artsy. I enjoy drawing and painting and being crafty, I'm GREAT a making messes! My parents encouraged me to go to art school and find a job where I could use my artsy-ness. After working in the not so artsy field of an industrial supply room, and dropping out of boring business school, I found the New York Institute of Photography and signed up for their program. It was a good little stepping stone in the right direction of where I wanted to be. About 3/4 of the way through classes, I was laid off from the supply room job. This is when Josh and I decided it was the perfect time to go full time with the home photography office. We worked hard to build a clientele and now just a few year later we are going strong and haven't looked back!
