Dream Power opened my eyes to the therapeutic benefit of riding. I have ridden all my life and have a daughter whose life was changed by a horse. I've always attested to the fact that horses have a supernatural power of communication and the ability to build confidence for those of us who have needed the unconditional commitment they offer to all. They are such great teachers.
Now I've seen it again - with a 6 year old boy who lit up when he got on top of the horse and pushed himself in ways he wouldn't on the ground. And the 3 year old girl who couldn't speak and has very little strength/coordination in her lower body who was laughing and sitting up (with VERY LITTLE assistance) - telling us through sounds and actions to "walk on" on her first ride.
It is amazing to see these kids, some of them frightened (almost as much as the parents:):) come to life, work hard and have an instant bond with the horse and gratification from the experience.
As a result of my volunteer experience I am getting certified as an instructor so I keep sharing in this wonderful experience. It is the best thing I've ever done - the sharing of horses this way. They are magic!!!!

Working with Dream Power has been wonderful. Gina truely loves and is passionate about the work she does with the children. I have been volunteering with her consistently since October of 2010 and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I am a special ed teacher and really wanted to become more involved with horses since I grew up with them and what better way than helping disabled children....something else I am passionate about. Her program is really beneficial to these children. When these children ride on a consistent basis you will see the benefits of it transfer into the classroom. The bond between a child and a horse is amazing as well as building their self esteem and over all attention and physical strength. Thanks for all you do...what an amazing program.

Gina is a very caring person who gives so much of herself to the children she works with. It is apparant that she genuinely cares and wants to help. She is flexible and works with our schedule and we enjoy the time we spend with her very much. Her horses are so sweet and gentle and the whole experience is priceless. My son looks forward to riding the horses and I am very confident in Gina's abilities and never doubt that he is in capable hands.
