FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer 3 payment options: (1) Flat fees - You tell me exactly what you need and I quote you a price. You pay 50% up front and 50% when I send the final product. (2) Hourly rate - When it's hard to know how much work will be required or the work will take less than 2 hours then my pricing is usually billed at $40 per 6 minutes of my time. You must pre-purchase at least 1 hour of time with this option. Unused time will be refunded. (3) Monthly Subscription Fee starting at $500/mo for two 45 minute calls every month. If you need additional assistance with legal projects, I recommend starting with my $999/mo plan. This plan includes up to 3 hours of my time each month, which you can allocate to a custom project roadmap I create for you during your first month.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1: schedule initial 15 minute call to discuss your needs, how I can help, and explain my pricing options. Step 2: I send my engagement letter (my contract) for you to sign on your phone or computer Step 3: I send you an invoice for the agreed upon amount Step 4: I send you a list of questions for you to complete about the work you need Step 5: I create the contracts and complete the legal research you requested and email it to you within about 5 business days Step 6: You review my work and send me your questions and comments Step 7: You schedule a follow up 15 min to 30 min call with me (depending on what's included in your package) Step 8: On the call, I explain the work I provided, answer your questions, and incorporate any additional comments Step 9: I send the final product and your final invoice.
