What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Those who work in the pest industry are required to get CEU's (continuing education units). Technicians must get 8 hours of training in pest and 8 hours of training in termite. Certified Operators, such as myself, must get 25 hours in each category.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was looking for a new job and was contacted by the large, corporate company. Interviewed for management. Saw an opportunity for myself and the it just happened.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Commonly, I protect peoples' homes from the terror of pests! For pest control, I treat your home, inside and out, minimizing the pests that enter the home. For termite, I put up a liquid barrier to protect the house. Mosquitoes, I spray/fog/mist the yard to help clients enjoy their outdoor activities.
