FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There are no hidden fees and we don't make money on materials. We do not up-sell projects and we will never give a false prognosis for pure gain and profit. We give the customers solutions to their problems and choices when it comes to execution keeping in mind that everyone worries about cost. We make a living by charging labor for quality work. However, we also must make something to provide for our loved ones, so we have a minimum charge of $150 for any job. We will be glad to work the required 2.5 man-hours given you have the available projects. Thanks for understanding.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We generally establish communication and prefer to meet in person for all jobs. We drive out to the potential customer's job site and look at the work. We typically don't quote on the spot to make sure that we don't make any mistakes. We take notes and measurements for the job, then submit a formal quote via email. We follow up once to make sure the customer received our proposal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing construction and hands on work for over 24 years. Started with pouring concrete in the summers when I was in high school and painting part time during school weeks for $8/hr. I then framed houses and did some remodeling before getting a job in a factory to provide stability and insurance for my family. I worked as a maintenance tech, then supervisor, than process engineer, and finally as facilities and equipment maint manager overseeing two departments and over 20 employees, all very hands on positions. I also did remodeling on the side and on my days off for the 19 years I was with the company. We did basement remodels, kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, tile and hardwood, exterior repairs, decks, and more.
